National Federal Eviction Moratorium Takes Effect

A federal eviction moratorium issued by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) takes effect today, September 4, extending rent and stable housing protections to tens of millions of renters at risk of eviction for nonpayment of rent during the global pandemic. If you are American Indian and Live within the panhandle NMRC can and will assist you with making sure that your landlords and housing authority are aware of this Moratorium. We will assist you in writing/composing/sending a letter for you to send to your landlord. Please reach out to us at (308) 221-1203 or email us at and someone will assist you in writing a letter to your landlord in the event that you are facing eviction. Please share this new with other you know who may be in a situation that requires assistance.
