The State of Nebraska has made available through "The Emergency Rental Assistance program" $158 million to assist Nebraska low-income households that are unable to pay rent or utilities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The program is now open and the will be accepting applications through August of 2021 for payment through the end of November 2021.
The Nebraska ERA program does not include renters in Douglas or Lancaster Counties at this time as Lancaster County, Douglas County, City of Lincoln, and City of Omaha will each be administering an Emergency Rental Assistance program locally.
