HOW WE CAN HELP

Over 500 Million people need non-prescription reading glasses to correct their vision. Lack of glasses is one of the main barriers preventing them from seeing better!

  • Reading and/or near vision correction glasses can have a profound impact on those who need readers but are unable to afford them. Some positive effects of restored vision can be:

  • Reading glasses immediately correct close-range vision problems, enabling a person to see clearly again, dramatically improving health and well-being.

  • When people are able to see clearly, they are also able to read and learn. Adults can successfully participate in continuing education and workforce training.

  • Seeing clearly is essential to maintaining one’s safety. With clear close-range vision, a person can perform his or her daily tasks – including caring for one’s child, cooking and working – in a safe and effective way.

  • Studies have shown that vision correction leads to a 35% increase in productivity and a 20% increase in wages.

  • With a pair of reading glasses, people can carry out their daily tasks, work and lead productive lives again.

  • The ability to see clearly impacts all areas of one’s life, including one’s self-esteem. Glasses enable a person to be a fully productive member of his or her family and community again. This increases the overall quality of a person’s life.
